An analytical contribution through a reaction of the type spot test against the crime of rape.
Description: A reaction of the type test spot with traces of human semen held at the crime scene or on bodies collected will be used employing the reagent phenolphthalein diphosphate followed by adding a solution of sodium bicarbonate, featuring up with this analytical development presence this biological matrix. Another type of crime involving fraud bovine semen of high genetic lineage, can be investigated using the quantitative aspects of color reaction described in this proposal. Work Plan summary: This project will carry out the synthesis and promote the realization of a formulation of phenolphthalein diphosphate. This reagent is formulated with a 1: 1 mixture of ethanol: water, will very effectively visually determine the unequivocal presence of semen still in place where it might have been practiced a sexual crime. The appearance of color rosy-violet, through a characteristic reaction of the spot type test, will provide forensic experts at the scene appropriate to address cases of sexual assault against a victim investigative tool. Also allow for qualitative and quantitative determination of bovine semen with high genetic pattern, thus avoiding fraud in the trade of this biological material, widely used in the improvement of the Brazilian cattle herd.
